Field Equation was past of the 10th Anniversary Coastal Currents Festival in Hastings.

It was a collaborative, site-responsive installation with fellow artist Louise Stokes.

A set of rules regulated the movements of the artists around the room. Each placement had to be in contact with its precedent, and 1 kg of salt was used to create each silhuoette.

The title arrived at the end of the day, when a father and his daughter came to see the work just before it was destroyed. Without realising he was in the Einsteins Cafe building, the father began to write Einsteins Field Equation in the salt.
