Dada-Exchange was a disabled artists' advisors network, supporting and inspiring the professional and creative development of deaf and disabled artists in the south east.

Dada-Exchange become a vibrant, thriving network, fostering the exchange of ideas, creativity and inspiration between Advisors and Artists alike, nurturing and supporting the creative and professional development of Deaf and Disabled Artists in the South East region.

Dada-South invited 36 Deaf and Disabled Artists from across the south east region to join Dada-Exchange, the Disabled Artists’ Advisors Network, created by Dada-South, in partnership with All Ways Learning and supported by Arts Council England, South East. This initiative created a dynamic and empowering regional network, led by Deaf and Disabled Artist Advisors to inspire the professional and creative development of Deaf and Disabled Artists.

From 2007 – 2010, Dada-South attracted up to 36 Deaf and Disabled Artists each year to Dada-Exchange, who benefited from 1-1 advice surgeries with their dedicated Advisor, who utilised his / her knowledge, experience and understanding of the key issues that disabled people face in managing their arts careers, to provide career development advice, support and mentoring.

Suzanne Rose, Professional Development Manager for Dada-South says: “Dada-Exchange offers a unique and exciting opportunity for peer to peer mentoring and the chance for Deaf and disabled artists to work together creatively to shape their artistic careers.”

The Dada Exchange Programme also included training and personal development sessions, the latest being held at the South Bank Centre in London, where the Artists Advisors and their artist clients had the opportunity to work together.
