This stage of the project involved the Southampton Youth Offending Team in two arbitrary but related projects. Based on the WEA Clovelly projects, the two workshops were designed to provoke a contrasting set of responses.

The participants were asked to photographically document each other as they completed the tasks set for each day. Throughout each session, individual participants were withdrawn from the event, and interviewed.

Each workshop task presented the participants with a set of rules and parameters for them to act within.

These tasks were designed to act as catalyst to affect the behaviour of the participants. The informal interviews asked them about their views on the various controlling aspects of each situation.

The documentation process recorded the distinct behavioural differences of their responses to these, at times, challenging tasks.

Due to the sensitive context of the Youth Offending Team, most of their identities are required to remain undisclosed.

Day 1.
Drawing project.
The participants were asked to condense all the furniture in to one half of the room. The room became confined, and difficult to work in.
The participants were then asked to re-arrange the furniture in such a way as to remove all clear and workable surfaces.

Working in 2 teams of 4, each group was then provided with a large sheet, and asked to collaborate in drawing the room.

Day 2.
Games Day.
The participants were given a collection of games.

Forming groups of their choice, they were asked to play the games for the duration of the session.

An extra aspect of this second session was their involvement with the Door Project as given to the WEA Clovelly group.
